Bunny, the calf, had been abused and had health problems and was virtually at death’s door. Bunny arrived at the Sugarshine Farm Sanctuary just before he was about to be slaughtered.
Kelly Nelder picked him up and also rescued three piglets, one was named Baby. The woman who gave up the animals said she couldn’t feed them. Bunny lived indoors because he was so thin and weak.
Nelder was trying to nurse him back to health. One morning, Baby, the piglet, pushed her way into the room where Bunny was being kept. Baby went right over to Bunny and started to nuzzle his face with her snout.
