When Pets in Distress heard Daisy the dog was dumped in the Florida Everglades, they rushed to save the poor dog. Daisy had trouble trusting people and would not let them get close. Pets In Distress reached out to Hope for Paws to try and catch Daisy. She was very smart and continued to elude them. Eventually an expert animal darter was summoned and Daisy succumbed to the anesthetics she’d been injected with.
Daisy was rescued and treated for mange, fungal infections, and intestinal blockage. The sweet girl was eventually adopted by Kelly, the woman who had been trying to save her from the start.
