Dog Sleeps Standing Up, Then Rescuers Realize She Doesn’t Know How To Use A Bed

In a world where we see terrible stories online, we often take comfort in animals.

It is heartbreaking to hear stories about animals that are abused or live through terrible conditions, like dogs who grow up on dog farms.

A group of 200 dogs was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea. That is where Harriet, a 3-year-old pup, was discovered.

The dogs were flown to animal shelters run by the Humane Society in parts of the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

Harriet, along with 14 other rescue dogs, were taken in by the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in Florida.

Her rescuers noticed that she could not settle down on her blanket. She was restless and eventually ended up sleeping, but she was standing up. In the video below taken by rescuers, she almost falls over she’s so tired.

But the kindhearted people there took care of Harriet. One volunteer spent a day teaching Harriet how to lie down and get comfortable.

After some more love and care Harriet is expected to put on a bit more weight, and hopefully, she’ll go to a great home very, very soon!

If you are happy all the dogs are off to good homes now, then you will love this story of a golden retriever from a meat farm who was rescued and is now living the very best life.
