Men See Cowering Pit Bull Trapped On Flooded Car, Then Realize He’s Too Terrified To Accept Help

Hurricane Harvey unloaded nearly 24.5 trillion gallons of water between Texas and Louisiana. In the midst of the natural disaster, not everyone was able to make the journey to safety.

A pit bull was left behind, and his only place to stay dry was on the top of a flooded car in an abandoned development. He was terrified and alone and didn’t know what was going on around him. Then, two special men approached him.

In the video below, posted on August 29, 2017, the pit bull cowers in fear as the men ride their boat over to him. They try to grab the dog and pull him onto their vessel, but he completely loses it and lashes out. The entire situation has the pit bull afraid of everything and everyone, even those trying to save him.

As it turns out, the only way they could lure the dog away from the flooded car was a pack of beef jerky!

Since then, they’ve named the dog Harvey, after the hurricane, and have decided to keep him if nobody comes forward as his original owner.

All it takes is a kind gesture and open arms to help someone in need, no matter what they’re going through.
