Sgt. Jacob Fisher recently arrived home from his seven-month deployment from Afghanistan, which was his 3rd tour to the Middle East. While overseas, he found a tiny puppy inside a wild animal trap on the army base. He knew that leaving him behind, he would have to fend for himself in the harsh and dangerous streets of Bagram, Afghanistan. He named the adorable pup “Jax.” Sgt. Jacob felt an immediate bond. with him and had to wait three months before he would see Jax again.
Sgt. Jacob is on active-duty, a hero who continues to protect our freedoms and our lives. He had to save one more life before going home — and he did.
With his son by his side, Sgt. Jacob and Jax finally reunited with the pup he fell in love with! Thanks to Jax, who helped him keep hope and faith alive during his time in Afghanistan.
