Belfast Authorities Release Pit Bull After Thousands Sign Petition

When a petition posted online received 300,000 signatures, Hank, a dog seized from his family in Belfast, Northern Ireland was released after his capture sparked international outrage. When Hank was taken, the Armer family had two choices: fight (in court) or sign a disclaimer to have Darla put to sleep.

Jenny Armer said she had to fight because Darla is her young daughter Maddison’s best friend.

Darla alerts Jenny if Maddison is having any problems at home, making her a possible dog that will be placed on the exemption list.

In the meantime, Darla and Hank now spend their days together cuddling with each other.
