Just When You Were Convinced Turkeys Can’t Fly, This One Sat Coach On Delta Flight

It’s not everyday you see this animal on a plane. A flight attendant snapped this picture of a turkey sitting in his very own seat on a plane.

Some of the surrounding passengers had concerns about sharing such a tight space with a bird, but he made the flight feel safe and secure.turquey-plane

This turkey is no ordinary bird. ┬áDelta airlines allowed him on the plane for free, because he is registered by his fellow passenger as an “emotional support animal.” Confirming the airlines’ policy, a Delta spokesperson said, “Delta complies with the Air Carrier Access Act by allowing customers traveling with emotional support animals or psychiatric service animals to travel without charge in the cabin. …We review each case and make every effort to accommodate our customers’ travel needs while also taking into consideration the health and safety of our other passengers.”

Sometimes animals on planes cause problems, but there is no indication that the turkey was any trouble for either the crew or the passengers.
