When Bait Dog Was Put On Death Row, Thousands Of People Rallied To Save Her

Rihanna was taken off the streets in 2013 by the Manhattan Animal Care Center and provided with some shelter and medical assistance.

It’s believed that she was used as a bait dog, as there was terrible swelling in her face, and many of her teeth had been broken off or filed down. She was also underweight and severely beaten until her body was covered in bruises.

It was likely that she’d be put down because of her condition when social media came to the rescue. When over 5,800 people shared her story on Facebook, it wasn’t long before Second Chance Rescue NYC came along to give her better accommodations.

That was three years ago, and Rihanna is still waiting for someone to take her home. Despite her bad background, she’s just as gentle as any other dog and always greets new people with a casual lick of their hands.

Why she hasn’t found her own forever home yet is beyond us, but she has a lot of love to give.

It’s best that she be the only dog in the home because of her background, and that she continue her training with Allied Dog Training in order to smooth out her social skills.
