Stranded Sea Otter Pup Was Only 4-Weeks-Old When She Was Rescued

When a baby sea otter was rescued from the coast , she found a new home at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. An employee at the Monterey Bay Aquarium rescued the little otter, but unfortunately, they didn’t have the proper means to help the baby thrive.

She was taken to the Shedd Aquarium where she will get what she needs to thrive, including people that provide her with tasty meals, and give her bottles of formula to help her grow.

It is unlikely that this seal pup will be returned to the wild because she doesn’t have a surrogate mother to teach her the skills she needs.
