Krzysztof Chomicz, a nature photographer, was capturing the beauty of Poland’s mudflats when he saw something moving in the distance. Using his camera, he was able to figure out that it was an eagle stuck in the mud. Chomicz called the fire department, who brought a very long rope. Chomicz volunteered to crawl through the mud to rescue the bird while attached to the rope on land.
When Chomicz finally reached the bird, he was exhausted. He rescued the eagle and headed back to dry land. Once the pair made it back to safety, Chomicz collapsed, and the eagle was taken to the rescue center.
