Recently, in London, a woman walked outside and found a cardboard box on her doorstep. The bizarre thing is that a rare albino baby squirrel was inside!
The woman quickly took the squirrel to Folly Wildlife Rescue where it is now well cared for. They later named the little squirrel was soon named Polly. She is now staying in a foster home where she is being hand fed with a tiny little bottle of milk.
Folly Wildlife Rescue is aware of how rare a squirrel like Polly is since they have only ever had one other albino squirrel in their care. And that was ten years ago!
According to her foster family, Polly is doing extraordinarily well, and soon she’ll be put into a group with other squirrels in the Rescue’s care. Dave Hinsley, a worker at Folly Wildlife Rescue, has speculated about where Polly came from.
His speculation can’t get very specific though because whoever first received Polly took her to the RSPCA, and that group delivered Polly to Folly Wildlife Rescue. Albino squirrels tend to show up in the same area.
All Hinsley knows is that Polly came from London and that at the end of the day, though, it doesn’t matter. Polly is doing very, very well.
