Hero Saved Homeless Dog Hit By Car And Left In The Street To Die

Every year there are approximately 2.7 million animals euthanized because they were abandoned by humans who just did not care. It is hard to believe that people can be so cruel.

Not Michael Rodriguez. Michael is a 22-year-old who was on his way home from work when he saw people had stopped to gawk at a 2-year-old puppy. The poor dog had been hit by a car and just left in the street. The driver looked at the injured dog but just kept going.

Michael realized that this dog was a homeless animal. He was starved and in bad shape already, seeing him broken in the road was too much.

He was a compassionate man and he wasn’t going to leave this poor puppy on the road to die!

He called him Bo and bundled the dog and rushed him to the nearest vet. Bo was in such bad shape that he needed an MRI and a neurologist, and his vet bill came close to $6,000!

Bo seemed to get worse and had to be flown to NYC for further medical tests. Jackie O’Sullivan of Rescue Dogs Rock NYC was the one who had the medical know-how to help Bo out, and she reached out to Paul Steklenski, founder of Flying Fur Animal Rescue to help fly Bo there.

Despite the expense, they both wanted to help this poor dog and Bo made the trip

After a lot of surgery, and medical care, poor Bo can’t even stand… but he’s begun to wag his tail!
