Fawn Left Orphaned Finds An Unlikely Best Friend

When a fawn and its mother were trying to cross the road, the mother was hit by a car and killed. The fawn with no means to protect itself, thankfully, was rescued by All For the Love of Animals, a rescue and sanctuary for animals located in South Carolina.

The fawn was brought to the sanctuary and named Skye, where they provided food, water, and a comfy bed to sleep in. What Skye however, was a friend. That’s when Oliver the cat stepped in.

The feline provided the gift of his company to help the orphaned deer cope. They immediately bonded while Skye recovered. The two were inseparable and rarely seen without the each other.

Skye will eventually have to be returned to the wild, this is a long and lasting friendship that will withstand time.
