Roo is a nineteen-inch miniature horse who was born with angular limb deformities and tendon laxity on all of his legs. This made it extremely difficult and painful for him to walk. He also had “windswept” legs, due to his position in the womb as he grew. Windswept leg is a deformity in the legs that causes the horse to look as if it is being blown to one side.
Roo’s owners did not believe he would live for very long since his deformities made it impossible for him to stand up and nurse. However, his pet parents decided to give him a chance he deserved and had the patience to provide him with the care he needed to grow big and strong.
