This connection between dogs and their owners is extremely powerful. When you are not home, your dog is probably at home pining for you as much as you are for them.
Such is the case with Cesur the dog, who lives in Bursa, Turkey. This dog’s loyalty knows no bounds!
Cesur’s owner, 79-year-old Mehmet Ilhan from Bursa, Turkey, recently passed away. Ali, Mehmet’s son, said his father’s connection with Cesur was very special.
“Because of my father’s paralysis, they had a different kind of connection,” Ali explained. “When my father was in the hospital during his last days, Cesur stopped eating.” As a result, no one took Mehmet’s death harder than the little pup. But it’s what he started doing that really got everyone’s attention…
Cesur was never far behind when Mehmet’s body was returned to his home. He was grieving for his owner.
Nobody could believe how upset Cesur really was.
Ali adopted Cesur after his father passed away, but the poor dog wasn’t ready to move on. Ali said Cesue would sneak out every morning when he left for work. Ali couldn’t shake the feeling that Cesur was up to something.
It wasn’t until he followed Cesur one day that Ali realized where the animal was going. “The people who work in the cemetery say the first thing he does in the morning is visit the grave of my father,” said Ali.
Ali doesn’t stop Cesur from visiting Mehmet’s grave each day. No matter how long it takes, Ali wants the grieving dog to know he’ll be there for him while he continues to recover.
“Cesur has always been a noble animal,” Ali said. “He will live with me from now on.” “Noble” seems to be the perfect word to describe the dog’s unwavering loyalty towards his beloved, deceased owner.
