Easton and his Mom visited the Exploits Valley SPCA Adoptables shelter. Easton was told that he could have any pet he wanted. For Easton, it was a no-brainer, he knew right away who he was going to choose. His selection made all the adults around him break out into tears.
When the boy spotted a marmalade orange tabby giving him big “kitty eyes” from behind a wire cage, the deal was sealed. Tiny was going home with him!
“Easton’s Mom told him he could adopt a new pet. He had the choice between a puppy dog or a cat. He chose to adopt Tiny, a 10-year-old cat who had just lost his home. On the ride home Tiny got out of his cage and cuddled in with his new owner and has been stuck to him ever since. Great job Easton, Tiny is one lucky cat!”
Shelters always have a difficult time adopting out older pets. People prefer to adopt healthy, young, and active animals that have many years left in them.
Thankfully, Easton’s chose a senior cat who is already calm but still very playful.
The only thing that Easton wants from Tiny is a bunch of love and cuddles!
